Down in Echuca Victoria the Southern 80 Ski Race was held and what an adrenaline packed weekend it was. Congratulations to the Force Boats champions Ian Tricker and the team, Nathan Miller, Ray Ball and Reece Simmonds from Team TR Racing, not only taking out first place but also breaking the current record by 21 seconds in, a Force F21s Race Stern Drive. This Force boat is decked out with our lightweight hull and ballast tanks to balance the weight for a perfect race, fitted with a Mercury 1350 package.
The record for the Southern 80 was previously held by Hellrazor, since 2015, also a Force F21s, and after speaking with Ian and asking what he thinks helped Team TR Racing break this record his wise words were “smooth is fast”. Ian also credited the win to lots of practice and becoming familiar with the course and a great team to work alongside him.
Also congratulations Brett Spits and the team at Arkham Asylum who also raced in a Force F21s who placed 2nd and Leo Welsh and the team from Mistress racing in a Force F21s who placed 3rd. Overall a very successful day at the races!
